After more than a decade of grinding on the road, comedian Cody Woods was on the verge of calling it quits. But getting a shot on Comedy Central’s Hart of the City revived Woods’ career and a reward for persistence. Revitalized, Woods is now on the road with the Rolling Green Room Standup Comedy Roadshow with James Myers.

In his discussion with Dave, Woods addresses growing up the product of a single-parent home and how is father figures in his life and comedy material. He addresses on he he deals with hecklers and the odd embrace of a negativity in order to grow has a performer. Woods is moving into a new phase in his life both professionally and personally-at peace while chasing laughs on the road and making his mother proud.
